Stainless steel design:

The Whirlpool 46cm speed oven and warming drawer comes in a stainless steel finishing. This appliance will certainly add class to your kitchen. The stainless steel is especially treated for fingerprint proof easy cleaning. The device is fitted with a tilt down grill, which can be lowered to allow access to the oven roof for the sake of easy cleaning. You can use a number of accessories that are available in the market with this appliance, but make sure that they are suitable for microwave use. When you plug in the device for the first time, it will ask you to set the language and clock. But, if there is a power failure, the clock flashes and will need to be reset.

Control panel:

Whirlpool has included a number of functions in its speed oven and warming drawer that can be adjusted to your personal taste. In order to set the position, make use of the multifunction knob and the adjust knob can be used to adjust the settings. Use the combination of these knobs to adjust the language, clock and buzzer. To make the selections, press the OK button and to exit the settings, press the stop button. The contrast and brightness of the display can also be adjusted.

Features:

Level Indicator:
There is a level indicator in the AMW 595 Speed oven that will let you know the recommended level to use with the functions. When a function is selected, the level indicators will flash and lit. At first the possible levels to use with the corresponding function is lit briefly and this is followed by the lighting of the recommended level of use. For instance, for a particular function if 1 and 3 levels flash briefly, the recommended level 2 will be lit.

Start Protection and Child Lock:
The Start Protection and Child Lock function is activated just a minute after the oven has returned to the stand by mode. The oven will be in stand by mode when the twenty four hour clock is displayed or even if the clock has not been set yet and display is left blank. The door of the unit has to be opened and closed, before the safety lock is released. Else, the display shows “DOOR”.

Doneness:
The Doneness functionality is available in two modes: Auto Reheat and Assisted mode. With the above modes, you can choose to either personally control the end result through the Adjust Doneness or let the device on its own. These modes allow you to achieve higher and lower levels of temperature, when compared to the default standard setting. When you use one of these functions, the oven chooses the default standard setting. This setting normally gives you the best result. The doneness level can be adjusted with its knob, right after you have pressed the start button. Please note that the doneness can be only set or altered during the first 20 seconds of operation. The Doneness +2 yields the highest end temperature, Doneness +1 yields a higher end temperature, Doneness 0 is the default standard setting, the Doneness -1 yields lower end temp and Doneness –2 yields the lowest end temperature.

Cooling Feature:
Whirlpool has included a cooling function in the AMW 595 which starts as soon as a function is over and switches off automatically when finished. The cooling procedure can be interrupted without any harm to the oven by opening the door.

Functions:

Kitchen Timer function:
The Kitchen Timer function of Whirlpool AMW 595  Warming Drawer aids in measuring the time for various purposes like cooking eggs or letting the dough rise before baking etc. The oven is also a special function for dough proving. Once the time is set, the Kitchen Timer automatically starts the countdown after ten seconds. In case you wish to start sooner, just press on the start button. An acoustic signal is heard when the timer has finished the countdown. Press the stop button if you wish to turn it off before the countdown is finished.

Rapid Pre-Heat:
Rapid Pre-Heat function can be used to preheat and empty the oven. Preheating is always done with an empty oven just like you would in a conventional oven before cooking or baking. Make sure that you do not place food before or during preheating in the oven as it will be burned from the intense heat. During the process of heating, the indicator bar rises until the set temperature is reached and once the process starts, the temperature can be easily adjusted with the knob. Once the temperature is reached, the oven keeps the set temperature for about ten minutes before switching it off and this time break is for you to insert food and choose a forced air, pastry or conventional function in order to start cooking.

Jet Start functionality:
The Jet Start functionality in Whirlpool Premium Gallery Range Speed Oven is used for quick reheating of food with a high water content like clear soups, coffee or tea. This function starts automatically with maximum microwave power level and the cooking time set to 30 seconds. With each press, the time increases by thirty seconds and this may also be adjusted with the knob.

The Conventional function:
The Conventional function can be used just as you do in your traditional oven when baking cookies, cakes, rolls and meringues. Note that, if you do not set the time for this function, it will go on to run until you open the door or push the stop button. But if the function goes on uninterrupted, it shuts off automatically after four hours. The Conventional + MW is used to bake fruit cakes, tin bread and frozen convenience food.

Grill:
Grill, as you all know quickly gives a pleasant brown surface to the food. The Grill + MW function is used to cook fish gratin, fish steaks cutlets and chicken pieces. Make sure that you do not leave the oven door open for long periods when the grill is in operation as this will cause a drop in temperature.

Turbo Grill:
The Turbo Grill function can be used to cook food like stuffed vegetables and chicken pieces. The Turbo Grill + MW is for food like Gratin’s Lasagne, Poultry and Baked potatoes. The maximum possible microwave power level while using the Turbo Grill + MW is limited to the factory preset level.

Forced Air:
The Forced Air functionality is used for baking, cooking rolls, cakes, poultry and roast meats or baking on two levels. As in the case of the other functions, there is also a Force Air + MW to cook roast meals, poultry, frozen convenience foods, roasts and fish. The Forced Air Combi is listed in the manual clearly.

Pastry function:
The Pastry function is used to bake pies, rolls, pizzas and muffins. Cook fruit pies, cakes and frozen quiches with Pastry + MW. Whirlpool has mentioned clearly on the manual about the power, suggested use, grill, shelf level and shift level for each of the cooking functions.

The special functions:

The Special Warm Keeping function is used to maintain the food at serving temperature of 60 degrees for any length of time. Yet another special functionality is Special Dough Proving and as the name indicates, this function is used to prove your dough. Cook and Reheat is used for normal cooking and reheating, such as vegetables, fish, potatoes and meat. The Auto Reheat functionality can be used for reheating the ready-made food either frozen, chilled or room tempered. In order to obtain the best result, ensure the oven is at room temperature before using this function. The defrost can also be done with the manual defrost which can be done by following the procedure of cook and reheat with microwaves and choose power level 160W. Speed Defrost function is mainly used for Meat, Poultry, Fish, vegetables and bread and this function should be used only if the net weight is between 100 grams and 3 Kgs. Midway through the process of defrosting, the oven stops, prompting you to turn the food.

Assisted Mode function:

The Assisted Mode function helps you to cook various types of food and the oven assists you in selecting the group of food, type and the type of accessories to use. In Assisted Mode the oven will automatically select cooking method, time and power needed. Depending on the selections you make, the oven will ask you additional information such as the net weight of the food.
